You may normally associate truffles with Italy & France, but truffle hunting happens in Hungary too! Such a pleasant surprise it was for me to learn the wonderful countryside of Hungary is actually a powerhouse for truffles, and as close as the forested outskirts of Budapest there’s an abundance of one of the most expensive foodstuffs on the planet.

On the morning of 19 March at the Marriott Hotel, the ladies of the International Women’s Club Budapest (IWC), held their March General Meeting - JAPANESE DAY. The auspicious event was supported by the Embassy of Japan and The Japan foundation and included guest of honor, Madame Itho, the Japanese Ambassador's wife to Budapest.
